The performer shows one gold and one silver chip, both are then handed out for examination. While your back is turned or you may completely leave the room, two spectators are invited to each select a chip and hide it in his/her hand. When you return, you know exactly who is holding the gold one & who is holding the silver one without asking a single question!

What makes this interesting is that you can repeat the effect with a spectator stands ten feet away and yet you still correctly state the color of the chip in the spectator’s closed hand!
